  • What was measured?

How we check a claim

1. Who took part?

Rats, cells, healthy young men, older men low in a vitamin? The answer changes what a result can tell you.

2. What was measured?

A hormone number in saliva is not the same as muscle, energy or how people say they feel.

3. What actually changed?

Compared with placebo, or just compared with before? We report the result in the study's own words.
